Medical Outreach – Enduring Love Christian Assembly (ELCA)

Overview
A one-day medical outreach was conducted at the Enduring Love Christian Assembly (ELCA) Headquarters, organized by the PELA African Missionary Authority (PAMA) in collaboration with Pilgrims Helping-Hands Ministry.
The outreach coincided with the annual ELCA workers and youths conference, offering free consultations, health checks, and medication to participants.
Outreach Team
Led by Pastor Chris Nnoli and supported by medical and administrative professionals including Dr. Grace Nnoli, Dr. Mary Olumesi, Dr. Oluwadara Okorafor, Dr. Chinedu Okorafor, and a dedicated volunteer and pharmacy crew from Raforn Pharmacy.
Participants & Findings
Approximately 50 participants, comprising church leaders and their spouses, attended the program. Common health issues identified included uncontrolled hypertension, diabetes, malaria, and arthritis—particularly among elderly women, suggesting possible vitamin D and calcium deficiencies.
Highlights & Impact
The outreach successfully combined clinical evaluation, education, and preventive health awareness. Attendees engaged actively in health talks and Q&A sessions, gaining insight into personal wellness, preventive healthcare, and the importance of routine check-ups. The event was widely seen as a milestone for PAMA and PHM in promoting health within faith communities.
Conclusion
The ELCA Medical Outreach achieved its goal of promoting community health and education. Through free consultations, medication, and health enlightenment, participants left better equipped to manage their well-being. The collaboration demonstrated the power of faith-based partnerships in advancing healthcare access.
