Medical Outreach – Enduring Love Christian Assembly (ELCA)

Overview
A medical outreach was held at the ELCA Restoration Camp, Mowe, organized by the PELA African Missionary Authority (PAMA) in collaboration with Pilgrims Helping-Hands Ministry.
The program was part of the ELCA annual workers and youth conference and aimed to promote preventive healthcare, provide free medical services, and inspire participants toward healthier, purpose-driven living.
Highlights & Impact
Over 100 participants received medical evaluations, including screenings for blood pressure, blood glucose, BMI, and general consultations. Common diagnoses included hypertension, diabetes, gastrointestinal ulcers (linked to H. pylori infection), arthritis, and malnutrition among children. All services were offered free of charge, supported by doctors, pharmacists, and nurses from multiple hospitals and organizations.
Health & Entrepreneurship Talk
Dr. Nnamdi Okwuosa led an impactful session on health and entrepreneurship, emphasizing early disease detection, preventive healthcare, and lifestyle modification. He encouraged
men to monitor prostate health and advised against habits like excessive coffee intake. He also highlighted the importance of exercise, diet, and consistent check-ups.
In his entrepreneurship address, Dr. Okwuosa inspired attendees to identify needs within their communities, cultivate discipline, and develop sustainable business ideas. He emphasized wisdom, vision, and planning as key to personal and professional success,
reminding participants that ‘what you work for gives you income; what you work on gives you legacy.’
Conclusion
The Mowe medical outreach successfully combined healthcare delivery with empowerment and education. Participants left informed, inspired, and motivated to prioritize their health while developing their God-given potential. The event demonstrated the power of
integrating medical missions with spiritual and entrepreneurial development for holistic community impact.
